Hi, Im getting error: smartkey.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error.... and also error at initialization of bundled DLL: smartkey.dll. Im running windows 11
It probably doesn’t work on Windows 11.

The program does not have 43000+ drivers. The driver will show it but it is red and cannot be used. I am looking for the SK12FD99.drt driver if anyone has it. It is stored in the ECM-Database-DRT folder

Red driver means the definition exists in the database index, but the actual file is physically missing from your hard drive. This is very common with these "43000+" versions—they often have inflated indexes but lack the actual
Code:
.drt
files.

I don't have that specific file on hand, but if nobody uploads
Code:
SK12FD99.drt
for you, try searching for the older "26000 drivers" pack. Sometimes the older databases actually have files that are missing or corrupted in the newer "big" packs.

Otherwise, you will have to create the driver manually using 2D/Hex view.

To check if you actually have it:
Go to your installation folder:
ECM Titanium\Database\DRT
Search for SK12FD99.drt. If it's not there, that's why it is red.

If the file is missing from the directory, the database entry is useless. As mentioned, this is the main issue with these "43,000 driver" versions—the index claims the driver exists, but the file is gone.

Since you can't find the specific SK12FD99.drt, try searching by the ECU Software Number instead of the driver name.

  • Open the software and load your original file.
  • Look at the ECU Info (HW and SW numbers).
  • Search the driver list manually for that specific SW number.

Sometimes a driver exists for the same ECU SW but under a different car model or chassis. If you find one with the matching SW number, load it, but check the 2D view carefully. If the maps line up (injection, spark, turbo, etc.), you can use that driver even if the filename is different.

If that doesn't work, you will have to define the maps manually or use WinOLS.

If the compatibility settings and Antivirus exclusions didn't fix it, the issue is likely the folder location or missing system libraries.

Try these specific steps in order:

  1. Move the folder: ECM Titanium often fails if it is located in "Program Files" or a folder with spaces in the name. Move the entire folder directly to your C drive root (e.g.,
    Code:
    C:\ECM_Titanium
    ).
  2. Visual C++ Runtimes: This error often means you are missing the C++ libraries. Download and install the Visual C++ Redistributable AIO (All-in-One) package (x86 and x64).
  3. Re-extract: Delete the current folder. Turn off Windows Defender completely. Extract the RAR/ZIP file again. Sometimes the DLL gets corrupted during extraction if the AV is active.

If it still fails, your specific download might be a bad rip. You might need to look for the "26000 drivers" version which is generally more stable on Windows 10/11 than the "43000" version.

Same problem aarhi hai

If the previous steps did not work, the issue is likely that your Windows version (probably Windows 10 or 11) is completely blocking the old DLL injection method used by this crack.

You have two final options to try:

  • Check for "Unblock":
Right-click on the Titanium.exe file and go to Properties. Look at the very bottom of the General tab. If you see a security checkbox that says "Unblock", check it and click Apply. Then run as Administrator.
  • Use a Virtual Machine (Best Solution):
This software is very old. It runs best on Windows 7 (32-bit). Install VMware or VirtualBox, set up a Windows 7 VM, and run ECM Titanium there. It will work 100% without errors.

If it still shows "Error at initialisation of bundled dll", your specific download might be corrupted. Try to find the "26000 Drivers" version instead, as it is often more stable than the 43000 version.

Czy udało się wam ten program zainstalować?

Tak, działa, ale na Windows 10/11 bywa problematyczny. To zazwyczaj nie jest typowa instalacja, tylko wersja "Portable" (wypakuj i uruchom).

Aby to zadziałało, musisz spełnić kilka warunków:
  • Antywirus/Defender: To najważniejsza rzecz. Musisz dodać folder z programem do wyjątków przed wypakowaniem. Defender często po cichu usuwa pliki DLL potrzebne do emulacji klucza.
  • Lokalizacja: Nie wrzucaj tego do "Program Files". Wypakuj folder bezpośrednio na dysk C (np. C:\ECM).
  • Uprawnienia: Kliknij prawym na Titanium.exe -> Właściwości -> Zgodność -> Ustaw tryb zgodności z Windows 7 lub XP i zaznacz "Uruchom jako administrator".

Jeśli nadal masz błąd "Error at initialisation of bundled dll", poszukaj wersji 26100 Drivers. Ma mniej sterowników w bazie, ale jest znacznie stabilniejsza i łatwiej ją uruchomić na nowszych systemach niż wersję 43000.

Hello. I have the same problem.

If you have already tried running as Administrator and setting Compatibility mode to Windows 7/XP, the issue is likely missing system libraries.

This software is very old (32-bit architecture). Even if you are on a 64-bit Windows, you must install the x86 libraries.

Try installing this specific package:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)

Also, check if the file Titanium.ini exists in the folder. Open it with Notepad and ensure the language setting is correct (usually Language=ENG).

If it still fails, the "bundled dll" error on Windows 10/11 is often unsolvable without disabling Secure Boot or Core Isolation, which isn't recommended. The best workaround is to run it inside a Windows 7 Virtual Machine (VMware or VirtualBox).

have u fixed it?

The "Error at initialisation of bundled dll" is usually caused by Windows 10/11 security features (specifically Data Execution Prevention or Defender) blocking the old protection wrapper used by the crack.

The only 100% reliable fix that works for everyone is:

  • Use a Windows 7 Virtual Machine (VMware or VirtualBox).

If you are trying to run it natively on Windows 10/11, you can try this, but it does not work on all builds:
  • Delete your current folder.
  • Disable Windows Defender Real-Time Protection completely.
  • Re-extract the archive (the antivirus likely ate the DLL silently).
  • Right-click Titanium.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Set to Windows XP (Service Pack 3).
  • Run as Administrator.

If that fails, the VM route is the only way.
