can i install all of this via esys instead of using ncs expert tool ?

No, you cannot.

SP-Daten files are specifically designed for BMW Standard Tools (NCS Expert, WinKFP, INPA) and are primarily used for E-Series cars (and R-Series Minis).

E-Sys is used for F, G, and I-Series cars and requires PSdZData (Power Supply Data), not SP-Daten. The file structures and coding logic are completely different between these two generations of software. If you are working on an F/G series, you need to look for the latest PSdZData Full or Lite.

Thank you very much for this. I’ve tested V74 with all the EC APPS on my 2006 E86 Z4M and 2000 3.0 Z3 and it works perfectly.

Yes, it can happen — newer SP-Daten versions sometimes contain updated SGBD files with stricter parameter checks that don't play well with older ECU hardware/software. Rolling back to an earlier SP-Daten version that matches the car's original I-level often fixes it.

But to give you a real answer instead of guessing, I need a few things:

  • Which E-series chassis and engine? (e.g. E46 320i, E39 530d, etc.)
  • Which tool — NCS Expert, WinKFP, ISTA/P?
  • What is the exact error message or code?
  • Did you use a different SP-Daten version before v74 that worked fine?

As a rough guide: early E46/E39/E38 cars often work better with SP-Daten in the v50–v55 range, while later E60/E70/E89 typically need v60+. Post the details above and we can narrow it down properly.

That confirms it. For an E90 with the N46B20, SP-Daten v60 is a solid match — that era of data aligns well with the E9x I-level range.

v74 likely has updated SGBD/CABD files that introduce parameter checks or coding indices your N46 DME doesn't support, which triggers the errors you saw. Stick with v60 for coding and programming on that car.

If you ever need to do a specific job (e.g. injector coding, EWS alignment) and v60 throws an issue, v55 or v53 are also safe fallbacks for that chassis/engine combo.

Ez várható viselkedés. Ha v74 SP-Daten van betöltve, a WinKFP nem engedi visszafelé flashelni a vezérlőegységet, mert az újabb SGBD/CABD fájlok csak előre irányú programozást engedélyeznek — az eszköz "downgrade"-ként látja a régebbi szoftvert és blokkolja.

A kódolás (NCS Expert) kevésbé szigorú, ezért az visszafelé is működik.

Ha programozni (flashelni) kell az E90 N46B20-on, csináld v60 SP-Daten-nel a WinKFP-ben — ugyanazzal a verzióval, ami már működik neked. Csak figyelj:

  • A WinKFP import varázslója a v60 adatcsomagra mutasson (ne v74-re).
  • A DATEN, SGDAT és ECU mappák mind ugyanabból a v60 csomagból legyenek — ne keverd őket.
  • Az EDIABAS ECU útvonal is v60-ra mutasson.

Így a kódolás és a programozás is tisztán fog működni az autódon.
